Salvation

God’s Plan of Salvation for Mankind

In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth. When He was finished, He reviewed His creation and saw it was good. Since God did not desire an army of robots, He gave His creation ‘free-will’ (allowing beings to choose between obedience and disobedience). Satan, an angel, in his pride, was able to make the choice to become jealous of the blessings and dominion God had given to mankind. Mankind having been made from the clay of the earth.

Satan schemed to challenged the greatness, goodness, and grace of God. His goal? To entice Adam and Eve into disobedience, which would rupture the relationship they had with God. Satan succeeded in his goal by appealing to their pride to make a self centered choice, rather than follow God in obedience. This caused a domino effect for the rest of mankind, as we are the seed of disobedient parents going back to Adam and Eve.

This same invisible, spiritual struggle continues today. The battle between God and Satan to control the territory of mankind’s ‘heart’. God and Satan each needing the agreement of the person before they can enter that person’s heart, because of our free will to choose. When we disobey God’s will for us, called ‘sin’, we have knowingly or unknowingly come into agreement with Satan, which gives him the legal right to enter into us, and will cause chaos and destruction in our lives.

Satan’s only goal is to steal, kill, and destroy by seducing us to choose self interest and physical gratification, rather than remain faithful to our Creator’s interests.

This ongoing disobedience separates us from the true blessings God had intended for each one of us. This separation from the Creator is the cause of so much misery we see out in the world.

However, God in His love and mercy for us made a way for the restoration of mankind. God as the righteous Judge, would demand punishment for the ‘crimes’ committed against Him. Unfortunately, no man or woman would be able to survive the required punishment. So God Himself devised a plan for a substitute (Savior), who could survive the punishment on our behalf. Thereby the law of God would be satisfied- that the crimes committed against Him would have been paid for. This allows each one of us the choice to invite the Savior into our heart to obtain this reconciliation with the Creator.

God sent His Son into the world, not to condemn the world, but that the world might be saved through Him. God’s only Son, the Lord Jesus Christ, would become our Savior. The only One who could survive God’s wrath for mankind’s disobedience.

To be ‘saved through Him’ demanded that His Son die on a tree (cross) in our place, by shedding His blood for our sins. Spiritually, our old disobedient nature also died on that cross, and just as Christ arose, we too arise, are BORN AGAIN, as new creatures IN Christ.

To learn how to be saved through Him, be forgiven by Him, and to restore your relationship with Him, follow THE WAY below:

YOU NEED TO BE SAVED

Romans 3:23 “For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God.”

Romans 6:23 “The wages of sin is death”

YOU CANNOT SAVE YOURSELF

Ephesians 2:8-9 “For by grace are you having been saved through Christ; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God.”

Titus 3:5 “Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to His mercy He saved us.”

THE LORD JESUS CHRIST CAN SAVE YOU

John 3:16 “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son that whosoever believes in Him will not perish but have eternal life.”

Isaiah 43:11 “I, even I, am the Lord; and beside Me there is no Savior.”

WHEN SHOULD YOU BE SAVED?

2 Corinthians 6:2 “NOW is the acceptable time, NOW is the day of salvation.”

THE LORD JESUS CHRIST CAN KEEP YOU

Jude 2 “Now unto Him that is able to keep you from falling and to present you faultless before the presence of His glory with exceeding joy.”

HOW CAN YOU BE SAVED

Revelation 3:20 “Behold, I stand at the door (of your heart) and knock: if any man hear My voice and open the door (of your heart), I will come in to him…”

John 1:12 “But as many as received Him, to them gave He the power to become sons of God.”

MY DECISION TO INVITE THE SAVIOR INTO MY HEART

I now realize I have been disobedient to God, and need a Savior.

I believe that Jesus Christ died in my place, and rose again.

I know He is the only One who can save me.

I open the door to my heart, and invite my Savior in.

I will turn away from disobedience, and now live for my Savior.

I thank God for saving me, and I will seek His will for my life.

MY PRAYER OF CONFESSION AND SALVATION

Oh Lord,

I admit that I have fallen short in my daily life, and need to be saved. I know that You alone can forgive me of my wrongdoing. I ask You right now for Your forgiveness and salvation. I believe that You died in my place to pay for my wrongdoing, and that in Your power, You rose from the grave in victory.

I am remorseful for my disobedience, and ask that You come into my heart, and make me the person You want me to be. Please fill me with Your Holy Spirit to guide me so that I may live the remainder of my life that honors my Lord and Savior.

Amen!

1 John 5:12-13 “He who has the Son has life; he who does not have the Son of God does not have life. I write these things to you who believe in the Name of the Son of God, so that you may know that you have eternal life.”

Revelation 19:16 “And He has on His robe and on His thigh a Name written:

KING OF KINGS AND LORD OF LORDS.”
